Most often, renovations are aimed at stopping the process of moistening of the building and reduce the existing moisture of structure to a level at which cease destructive processes caused by water and compounds transported by it.

 

The most common cause of walls moistening is capillary transport of moisture from the ground due to lack of (or ineffectiveness) horizontal insulation in the wall.

Other causes of moisture, which we have met and have resolved so far, are listed below:

  • moisture penetration as a result of the impact of dispersed water
  • moisture penetration due to the hygroscopic moisture uptake
  • moisture penetration inside walls caused by high condensation
  • surface moisture penetration
  • moisture penetration from the walls as a result of impacts in groundwater

Building renovation is the most difficult task to the contractor. At the beginning we diagnose the topic in accordance with following points:

  1. make a monitoring visit to determine necessary examination and estimate an initial cost of them
  2. make building inventory to classify and describe the damage
  3. determine the procedure and test methods
  4. verify the cost of tests and diagnosis
  5. make drafts and quantity survey works
  6. conduct the following tests are essential: type, structure, characteristics, dimensions, load moisture and salts tested materials.
